Erik Mickels
Chief Financial Officer
Appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2023, Erik Mickels oversees the Company’s overall financial activities, including controllership, tax, treasury, analysis, investor relations and financial operations. Erik also supports corporate strategy and value maximization initiatives.
Prior to joining Marketwise, Erik spent 7 years as the CFO of a publicly traded telecommunications company where he played a key role in building and scaling the business, leading the public offering, and guiding a successful exit of the business in 2022. Erik began his career with Arthur Andersen and KPMG in the Assurance and Advisory practice working closely with a range of clients from pre-IPO startups to Fortune 500 market leaders.
Erik holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hillsdale College, is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School and is a Certified Public Accountant.
